Oh potato, oh potato, oh how I love potato.
On this 12th day of Christmas I wanted to share with you another way to serve up the classic holiday side of potato. It is also very easy!
Introducing my crunchy and warm potato bake.
So here it goes. I chopped up a kilo of small red potatoes into thin slices. Then, you’re going to want throw them into some boiling water. You aren’t going to want to fully boil them as they will get too soft. Partially boil them until they have softened up a little bit but are still quite firm in the centre. It will take 5-10 minutes.
Next drain the water and prepare your baked oven dish. Use tongs as the slices will be hot, lay them down into your dish evenly. When you’re about half way through filling up your dish, sprinkle over tasty cheese across the entire middle layer. Next, continue to lay down the rest of your potato slices.
Next in a measuring jug whisk together 100ml of sour cream, 1/2 cup of melted butter, 1/2 cup of milk and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Drizzle this evenly over your potato bake. Finally, sprinkle another layer of shredded tasty cheese followed by a layer of parmesan cheese on top. Place in the oven at 180 degrees celsius fan forced for 45 minutes.
If it looks golden on top then it is time to eat!
This is the warmest and cosiest side to any meal. I have never met a person who doesn’t like their potatoes that way. If that’s you then get off my site please.
