Day 2: Empties 2017 Skincare

Garnier Micellar Water

This is THE product for 2017. It is the most useful, gentle and price efficient product that I own. I cannot rave about micellar water enough. There are so many versions on the market, but this really does get a perfect score at the best price point. There are different Garnier bottles depending on your skin type too. Pour it on a cotton swab and you’ll be as happy as Larry. I’m on my third bottle.

Biore Pore Strips

242160_xlarge_1I don’t really know why I picked these up. I don’t have overly bad blackheads on my nose, but you see the ads and get sucked in. Do these black head strips work? Meh, 50/50. Some get ripped out and some don’t. I think they are more fun than they are worth. I would love for someone to come out with a strip for the chin. Will I buy again? Probably not.

Radox Heavenly Coconut Shower Gel

A shower gel that smells like coconut gets a tick of approval. I like the smell, it makes me clean and thats about it. Nothing overly inspiring with this product. The price point of Radox is good I suppose. Does anyone have a shower gel that is out of this world? Let me know. I’m yet to find one.

The Ordinary Primer

I’m obsessed with this brand. The ethos and the products are everything. However, I’m in love with their skin care and less so with their pre makeup juice. This primer wasn’t bad by any means, but it also didn’t do anything major. Hydrating but not pore blurring. Will I buy this brand again? Absolutely. Will I buy this product? Probably not.

Bondi Sands Everyday Tan

666842_xlarge_1I used this Bondi Sands tan bottle within a couple of months. It has gradual tan qualities, but I actually really liked it for its moisturiser. It is easy to use as it sinks in and doesn’t stain the sheets. It also doesn’t have that god awful fake tan smell either. You can shower, paste yourself in the stuff and then get on with your day. I really don’t think there are many products like that on the market.

La Roche Posay Sunscreen

Untitled 2

This face sunscreen has been gifted in my santa stocking time and time again. It is more on the luxe side, but I swear it is worth it. The light weight formula is great on the face. I don’t normally have sensitive skin, but when it comes to sun screen on the face I do. I don’t know what the ingredient is that causes a rash outbreak, but I have no issues with this product. Will I buy again? Yes, yes, yes.

Provoke Touch of Silver Shampoo and Conditioner

4129_xlargeI’m a stickler for trying new hair products. A purple shampoo that promised to work wonders for blonde hair? My type of marketing tool to suck me in. I think this shampoo and conditioner combo was pretty good. Nothing went overly one way or the other. This product is pretty good for its very affordable price point. However, will I be buying again? Nope, I’m still on the hunt for the next thing to suck me in.

Mario Badescu Acne Facial Wash

i-005006-acne-facial-cleanser-1-378My favourite cleanser of this year. Mario Badescu is definitely my favourite skincare brand for problem skin. It is no fuss, and gets the job done. I’ll be writing a post on all my other favourite products from this brand soon. But for the meantime, this is the product that I have finished. My only wish is that it would come in a bigger bottle. Please get onto that Mr Mario.
