Colours of Autumn

As we come into Autumn, here in the South of the world, I thought I would share an outfit I wore in the Autumn of Tokyo last year. This look is entirely transferable into Spring with the floral base and pops of colour.

I bought this floral dress from Zara, in Mexico, late last year. Therefore, with the Fall collections coming to Australia now, you might be able to find it in a store here. I am obsessed with the floral embroidery on the black background. This combination makes it not too girly, adding a little bit of edge. You can get a similar dress super affordable here and really similar here.

I bought this pink coat from a daggy chain store back in 2011. I spotted it in my wardrobe and decided it would be my coat of the trip. It was the perfect addition to add some personality to my often very monochrome outfits in the cooler weather. It is funny how items can come in and out so quickly. I am now so glad I held onto this piece. The clean lines and quality wool is probably a testament to how its been able to stay in my collection. To add some colour into your Autumn or Spring outfits, you too can get a pink coat here and super affordable here.

One of the best finds on this trip were these tights. I actually thought they were full length black in the packet, and it was not until I got back to our room that I discovered they had a fake knee high sock look about them. Such a clever way to stay warm and still look trendy. Not only that, but the nude upper section smoothed out any lumps and bumps which made them super flattering! I have found some similar for a low here and a high here.

I was just coming off a hip surgery so I needed a pair of super comfortable boots that I could walk around in all day. I actually stole these off my Mum, and they saved my feet. They are a little bit orthopaedic, so I’ve picked out some slightly more stream lined pairs for you guys. I am obsessed with both of these black knee high boots, here and here. The perfect shoe to invest in as a classic that you will wear year after year.

Finally, we have my gold rim sunglasses. They cost me nothing from a market overseas a few years ago. So it’s only fair I find you a low cost pair too. These ones from Express are so cool and trendy. They are definitely going straight in my shopping basket!
